Prints

All prints are created using the latest technology giving the highest quality printing available to date. Digital Prints onto photographic paper produce stunning results and are created using RGB lasers to expose the image to photographic paper. This method can achieve outstanding results which are better than traditional photographic printing in terms of sharpness, colour saturation and contrast control. The printer laser exposure system does not pass through a lens, allowing it to achieve edge to edge sharpness that most other large format photographic output devices cannot match. All images are printed on either matt or gloss archival paper. The printer used is a Lightjet 5000 and can print at approx 4000dpi. Some of the benefits are listed below.

Extremely fine detail

The continuous tone resolution is equivalent to a 4000 dpi printer, finer than film grain, with no visible dots. No inkjet, dye sublimation or electrostatic printer can come close to this degree of detail.

Vast colour gamut and colour fidelity

36-Bit colour means that the Lightjet can reproduce 68 BILLION colours.

Image stability

The Lightjet prints onto archival quality photographic paper, producing sharp and rich colours that have longevity far beyond that of inks or dyes.

Edge to edge sharpness

The Lightjet’s RGB lasers expose the paper by travelling along a drum. This produces a print that is sharp and clear from edge to edge with no pixilation and with no density or focus fall off associated with conventional prints made through a lens.

Limited Edition Prints

All limited edition prints come signed, mounted and framed, once 50 prints are reached the print be no longer be available for purchase. The prints will come in a light oiled frame unless an alternative is requested, all prices are inclusive of postage and packaging.

Available print formats

Standard Prints - These are produced using a high quality photographic printer. This method is used for print sizes ranging from A5 (5.8in x 8.3in) to A3 (11.7in x 16.5in) for custom sizes please contact us for further details.

Large format prints - These are produced using the Lightjet 5000 giving the highest quality available. This method is used for all print sizes above A3 (11.7in x 16.5in.) Also not that this method can be used for prints of smaller sizes as well as custom sizes. Please contact me for further information.

Display Transparencies - Superb quality large format display transparencies, often called "duratrans", have a translucent-base suitable for back-lighting in light boxes. These are available in sizes ranging from 16in x 12in to 96in x 48in. Please contact me for further information.

Fujiflex hi-gloss display prints - Fujiflex is durable polyester based print material with an incredibly high gloss finish (similar in look and feel to cibachrome prints). The combination of our Lightjet printer and Fujiflex material produces ultra sharp display prints with superb colour saturation even on large format prints. Please contact me for further information. Mounting

Only the highest quality materials are used to ensure that all my prints are presented and protected to last throughout our lifetime. The most common mounting boards, shown in thickness are listed below.

Framing

Full custom framing is available on all prints. Due to an infinity of custom sizes and materials there are simply too many to list. Please contact me with your framing requirements. If a print is intended for framing then it is recommended that a Lustre surface is used to avoid any 'grabbing' of the surface by the inside of the glass against a high gloss surface. All prints which come frames will be delivered, fitted with oiled light oak unless an alternative is requested.

Payment, Delivery and Returns

Orders are despatched upon funds clearing and are usually delivered within 14 days, custom orders may take longer however and you will be notified promptly should your order be delayed due to materials and availability. If not completely satisfied we provide a full refund on return of goods, goods must be returned within 7 days. We accept all major credit and debit cards through the use of PayPal which offers secure online payments. A charge of £6.50 is made on postage and packing on print only packages and this is to mainly cover the cost of the re-enforced tubing that we use to ensure that your prints are delivered to your door totally undamaged and in pristine condition. For signed, mounted and framed prints the postage and packing are all inclusive and mounted with the 2mm card and light oiled oak frame, unless an alternative is requested, for a different/custom mount or print size please contact us.
